Can it really be August already? As much as I'm trying to enjoy every little moment, I know that school and its more rigorous schedule is on the way. Even though I love fall and still get wrapped up in the excitement of "Back to School" each year, I'm trying to s-t-r-e-t-c-h this summer a bit.
But in the meantime, we're keeping plenty busy enjoying summer vacation. Last week, we had a fun week at "Camp VanderLugt" -- this year at Crystal Lake in Fremont. It was a great week of sunshine, lots of fishing, tie-dying (see pictures!), campfires, tubing, eat way too much, and simply spending time with each other. The boys loved being surrounded by their Nana, Papa, aunts, uncles, and cousins -- and are experiencing a bit of withdrawal this week. Caleb's already asking when we can go back.
It's hard to believe how this vacation has changed from year to year -- the family keeps growing! This year we were up to 10 adults + 6 kids ages 5 and under. And next year, we'll have more! We're multiplying!
